Epiphone Les Paul Standard (Ebony) Needs no introduction. This is my primary guitar and I love it. If you are looking for a sweet mid-level guitar, stop looking!
Or, if you can afford the $1200 price tag, the original Gibson Les Paul Studio is even more incredible than the Epiphone model. I don't own one personally, but I know people who do, and have used it enough to know that it might just be worth the difference in price.
Also available in pink, but I prefer the black model with pink strap. This is the guitar I bought for my daughter. Like any Fender Squier, it is well-made and sounds great for an entry-level guitar, but this model is a bit smaller (and much cuter) than others. I think the slightly smaller neck size makes it ideal not just for children, but for most women as well, and even for some of us guys who weren't blessed with giant tentacle fingers. If you want to go all out, you can even pick up some matching picks or a nice gig bag in addition to the rubber strap.
Dunlop Crybaby Pedal The original and still the best. Amazon sells them relatively cheap at just under $70 with free shipping.
Samson G Track USB Microphone and Audio Interface
One of the best purchases I've made in a while. Perfect for anyone wanting to set up an inexpensive home studio. With a USB interface and good bundled software, this mic makes it incredibly easy to record and edit music on your computer.
Rogue Guitar Tool Kit
All the basic guitar maintenance tools you'll need in a compact, $6 package.
